There are different types of A/C Freon. Originally, R-12 Freon was used in car air conditioners. However, it was found that when a car emits R-12 Freon, it depletes the ozone layer. The Environmental Protection Agency outlawed ozone depleting substances in 1994 and, as a result, R-134a Freon is now used instead.
If you own a car that was manufactured before 1994, you can have your A/C retrofitted for R-134a Freon.
At Auto Experts, AC repair and AC services are handled by ASE-certified technicians. They will examine your car's A/C system to see if there is a leak and they'll stop it before it can affect anything else.
Over time, A/C fittings become loose, O-rings, hoses and seals wear out. When temperatures rise, there's nothing more refreshing than climbing into a cool, air-conditioned car. Our expert auto technicians offer the best car AC service and AC repair at neighborhood friendly prices.
If you're in need of a car A/C recharge service, we offer an A/C Evacuate and Recharge where we void the air conditioning system of old Freon and then recharge the system with new Freon. We then inspect the car A/C system's pressure and temperature control to make sure everything is working correctly for a car air conditioner recharge service.
